Power Wash Recipe and Why we use it

First and foremost, it's Dawn Powerwash. It comes in a really nice spray bottle and we love it!

We repurposed 2 glass Turmeric bottles from Sams, the 9.5oz bottle.

1/4 cup of Dawn (real not fake stuff!) We've been using the blue

2 TBSP of rubbing alcohol

Fill bottle with water up to the neck of the bottle. If you fill it a little too full, don't worry, just add it later or make more in the same bottle.

Give it a "shake" to mix it up. I turn it upside down, right side up, gently 2 or 3 times until the Dark blue Dawn is light blue.

Then it sits on the kitchen window sill as the sun won't hurt it and there's room there.

When filling the spray bottle pay attention to where the white "neck" stops in the bottle, filling over that spot is too much and it'll just squirt out. Ok, there's a bit more wiggle room but you'll learn.

Now, the recipe online is 1 TBSP of rubbing alcohol, but 2 TBSP gives it a little more meat killing power. 

We wash our meaty hands with it, we also use it for handwashing after using the bathroom (bathroom sink still leaks! sigh). I will spray it on the cool glass stovetop and just wipe it off with paper towels. It leaves streaks but I don't care. Let it sit on the "tough stain" on the counter or stove for about 3 minutes and it wipes right off! Thank you rubbing alcohol!

I still wash meaty things 4 times but I only need 1 spray each time to thoroughly clean meaty things!

Oily things, from olive oil, still need hot as I can stand water and 2 washes to get the oily off the plastic reusable container but it beats 3 to 4 times!
